So it's a smouldering summer's night in downtown Iraklio, Crete. I've got shorts and a tee on but even on the balcony it's roasting so I decide to take in the late night sights and sounds of the city and try and catch some cool sea air as it funnels up the streets from the port. 
 
Eleftheria Square was a hive of activity as I strode through young and old meeting, greeting, eating and drinking... sat seated. With ideas of the park I took a left in hunt of shaded... cool climes and there was this shot... so I took it.
 
I think it sums up a steamy Iraklio summer's night perfectly, and Heraklion in general. A city I very much love for all her beauty and warts.
